Pre-Vizualization
Pre-Visualization consists of taking your storyboards and scanning them into a computer (I recommend that you save the images as .jpg, .png, or .gif files to conserve space). Once inside, cut them together in an editing program (Windows Movie Maker or iMovie will be more than powerful enough) at the speed in which you think the scene should play if it were on film. Say the lines of dialogue as it plays, just to make certain that it is going the right speed.
Once you have the film cut, watch it. How does it seem to you? Does it make sense? If you have access to friends, pull them into the room and have them watch it while you read the lines. Did they understand it? Did they like it? If not, that does not mean that film will not make sense, but it is a good idea to pause here and talk with them about the movie you are trying to make. They may have some really good ideas on how you can improve your film.
I would also strongly suggest that you keep a copy of this little video (and any other versions you cut) to put on the DVD as a Special Feature. It will be fun to see how your finished project compares to this one.
