Dutch angle is a type of shot where the horizon is tilted or off set. These shots are used to create a sense of disorientation or intensity. Other uses for the Dutch angle could be for humours effect.

Example: There is a scene where a stumbling drunk walks out of a bar. You could use a Dutch angle when you cut to the "POV" of the drunk looking at the bottle. We then will be able to better understand the disorientation the drunk feels, and we can get a laugh at the same time.
